At Sunday November 7th we were heading off for Brussels to see Saybia playing in Botanique Brussels. After three and a half hours drive we arrived in Brussels. We met with some other Saybiafans and were hanging out in the café of Botanique. We were having some beers and looking forward to the gig. Then Bjarke, the tourmanager of Saybia came to our table with the anouncement that the gig for that night had been cancelled. Too bad of course!!

In stead of going home (we all made reservations for a hostel/hotel that night) we went out for diner and spent the rest of the night in a nice bar of a hotel, where Cor and Cisca stayed that weekend. We had a lot of fun and the results are in this photostory.

So no pictures of Saybia this time, but then you have an idea that you can make the best of it by making fun without seeing a concert!! We promise that we will be back in Brussels to see Saybia perform when they are resceduling this concert some other time.

Have fun!! Bernd and Mireille

Posters Botanique Brussels...

You'll find us there among colourful trees.... Yes, Botanique, it's a kind of Eden

On our way to the centre we ran into the famous Belgian comic hero Guus Flater. He was so kind to go on the picture with us (from left to right, Jude and Maggie standing, Cisca, Anita, Cor and Mireille sitting).

Bold as Guus is, he wanted to be on the picture too. Isn't he handsome?

The famous church on the market in Brussels. After dinner we stretched our legs and walked to the famous church. Only to make some pics. Afterwards we had something to drink and......... real Brussels waffels, with whipped cream or strawberries! Auch, stomachache!!! But DELICIOUS!!

It looks that we're very cultural and religious. Ehm..........not!! But the church is nice though from the outside.

After dinner we and Anita ended up in the bar of the hotel where Cisca and Cor stayed. Mm, looks like we had some beers allready.

Cor sitting relaxted in his chair and enjoying the night.....

Hello Bernd!!

Bernd showing his nice shirt.....

Hello Mireille

Anita drinking 'De verboden vrucht' = 'The forbidden fruit'. Cheers!!!

Hello Cisca and Cor

Anyone some peanuts?   Anyone some crisps? They look delicious, but it sure tasted like carton.

Anyone a beer?

Cisca's glass and Schumacher-phone!! 'Hello? Is it me you're looking for?' Don't think so, because Cisca's phone was almost out of
battery.....

Flash and we'll drink some more beers.....

The forbidden fruit. We were allowed to drink that night, but this beer, no thank you, isn't that true Anita?

Empty glass, in a wornout place,
That's where we stayed, where we got drunk!!

Get it all, get enough, drinking some, drink enough. We have tried most beers that night, skål guys, ain't that right?
This night was sponsored by Carlsberg. Okay, it's not Tuborg or Grolsch, but there's alcohol in it.....

Our view when we looked outside the window....

SAYBIAAAAAAAAAAA, Cor posing with his Saybia-shirt....

We've hidden our sadness in the liquids that we drank. Consuming beers and wine all night long.

Oh yeah, we sure did had a guardian angel in the bar that night. Aha, that's why we didn't have a hangover the day after.....
Do you remember, the laughter and the joy...Guardian Angel left us drinking!!!!!!!!!

Money money money!! Why do we need money??   First of all for buying some beers, and some more and some more. And some wine for Cisca, and some more and some more....

We did use the money for tickets for Saybia in Botanique Brussels. Sigh, we have to wait for some time, but Brussels, we'll be back!!

Cisca and Cor's metrocard....

And then it was time to go to the hostel. Cisca and Cor could crawl to the elevator of the hotel and relax, we and Anita had to walk back to
the hostel. And quess what, Guus was there again! He so wanted to be on the picture with Mireille and Anita. Oh yeah, he liked it, aha aha...

He just couldn't get enough...

Guus singing: 'I surrender myself, into the arm of two beautiful strangers'. Dream on, Guus! You have your cat!!

Hey girls, where are you going?
We're glad that we didn't have to use this map, because Brussels is such a perfect place to get lost! When there are signs to go to the right
for instance, you can choose between three options of right. Brussels, the city of confusion, but for the rest a great place to stay.

Do you remember, driving in that car? Ehm, nope. But Cor, it's a Ferrary!!!!!!!!

Anita showing her newest dance....

The Saybia tourbus at two-thirty in the morning, just three and a half hours before they were heading off to Switserland......

Hey, an other Saybiacar!! Yes, it's Anita's car. Saybia is promoted all over the world!!

Our youthhostel....

What a nice view!! The neighbourhood wasn't that save, offering in the middle of the night if you'd like to buy some joints... in an agressive
way.....

From coast to coast, flag to flag!!! We wave our flags for Saybia!!!

Mireille getting some tea...
Breakfast is served. The cheese was too cheesy and gluey!! Mireille had more cheese on her hands than on her bread.....

Our adventure was over. Nothing has changed, we're exactly the same, as before we went cruising on a high speed lane! We're still
dreaming of Brussels and a new gig.
We're leaving home for now, but coming back real soon.........
