Thanks to Patrick Engels Ryming for letting us use his pictures.

Once upon a time Saybia performed in Holland. It was in the winter of 2003. Patrick Engels Ryming was the photographer of all the shows there and he made a very funny 'photostory' from Saybia in Holland. Palle was totally in love with a duck.....

And the story continued and Palle couldn't forget his duck which he had left behind in Holland. Maybe there would be a sweet duck in Funen too. But unfortunately no duck was coming his way on that cold day in Denmark somewhere in April 2003....

Nostalgic as Palle was, he tried it though at a gasstation in Denmark... He caught a fish instead.... He did find Nemo, but why wasn't there a duck?

We felt sorry for Palle. His sorrow has to be fixed, so we searched everywhere in Holland. At some nice summerday, just before the Midtfyns Festival we found the perfect duck. Alfred E. Kwak was his name....

We gave it at Midtfyns and of course you could see that it totally was a Dutch duck. Smoking was one of his hobbies, so he and Palle were close friends immediately!! Maybe that was just meant to be...

So this story has a happy ending. Although fried duck can be a delicate thing. No, Alfred likes to be bitten. Nowadays he and Palle are living on a farm somewhere in Denmark, enjoying their days off... but they will be back this summer, that's for sure!!!

Alfred is yellow as you can see. This picture is made a few days before we went to the Midtfyns Festival....
